Configura is a Swedish software company serving communities who design spaces. We are the leader in the digital transformation of space design and have over 30 years of experience helping our customers visualize, automate, and simplify their design processes. Our products have reached 16,000 users globally from the commercial/residential interiors and material handling industries. Designers and sales engineers from leading manufacturers and their partners use our flagship product CET to create stunning visual layouts backed with real product data, saving them days from sales proposal to order.

Configura is headquartered in Linköping, Sweden, and has operations in the USA, Malaysia, Germany, and Japan. In 2022, we set up our Tokyo office with the purpose of developing the local market and better supporting our customers in Japan. We are looking for a talented Software Developer to join our Tokyo team at an exciting time.

We believe you are self-motivated with a genuine passion and interest in technology. You have a foundation in object-oriented programming and an ability to collaborate and engage with internal colleagues and external customers. As a member of our Customer Delivery team, you will consult with external customers in the creation of high-quality extensions that allow for the specification of products. With that, you excel both as a programmer and the ability to engage with customers to ensure they have the best possible experience working with Configura.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient code

• Review and learn from code developed by other developers (both internal and external)

• Debug, track, and resolve issues while continuously improving code quality

• Collaborate closely with customers and teammates on a daily basis

• Work across functions to understand challenges and create effective solutions

• クリーンで効率的なコードの設計・開発・保守

• 他の開発者（社内外）のコードをレビューおよび学習

• デバッグ、課題追跡、問題解決を行い、コード品質を継続的に改善

• 顧客やチームメンバーとの日常的な協働

• 社内外の関係者と連携し、課題を理解して最適なソリューションを形にする

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience

• Strong skills in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or C++

• Fresh graduates with solid programming fundamentals and junior developers (0–2 years of programming or web development experience) are encouraged to apply

• Native-level Japanese and intermediate-level English communication skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Curious, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions

• Experience in agile development processes or exposure to larger projects is a plus

• This role is based in our Tokyo office, with opportunities to collaborate directly with global colleagues.

応募資格

• コンピュータサイエンス、工学、数学などの学士号、 または同等の経験をお持ちの方

• Java、C#、C++ などオブジェクト指向言語でのプログラミングスキル

• 新卒・第二新卒（プログラミング基礎がしっかりしている方、0〜2年程度の開発経験を持つ方）歓迎

• 日本語ネイティブレベル、英語中級程度のコミュニケーションスキル

• 優れた分析力と問題解決能力

• 学習意欲の高く、質問をすることを恐れない方

• アジャイル開発や大規模プロジェクト経験があれば尚可
