At Configura, the Sales Engineer is critical to our success within the Material Handling industry. Serving as a liaison between a variety of internal and external groups, the Sales Engineer supports user adoption and growth by developing and exhibiting a superior understanding of products throughout the Configura ecosystem. Equal parts relationship builder and engineering expert, the Sales Engineer is a key contributor in meeting Configura goals and ensuring customers obtain maximum value and ROI. At Configura, we simplify complex selling for our customers. We need you to help us take that effort to the next level.  

 

WHO WE BELIEVE YOU ARE 

We believe you are an expert collaborator with an engaging presence, building strong relationships internally and externally to ensure customers and prospects identify significant value in a relationship with Configura. You are familiar with the use, strategies and processes within the engineering community at integrators, 3PLs and manufacturer-led systems engineering teams and are motivated by the opportunity to use that knowledge to coach and sell on the benefits of Configura software.  

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 

  • Consultative sales activities with end-users to build relationships and increase adoption.  

  • Secure new license revenue by prospecting via cold-calling, networking and leveraging Configura’s manufacturer relationships. 

  • Execute contracts, negotiations and license renewal activities.  

  • Collaborate with local and global sales team members with demo’s, presentation creation and various sales engagement activities.  

  • Create demo CET drawings as visual proof of concepts.  

  • Conduct in person and virtual demonstrations that complement formal user training. 

  • Participate in trade shows and Configura events to build relationships and meet sales goals.  

Job requirements

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • Experienced Professional- You have three or more years in systems engineering, sales or a consultative sales role   

  • Enthusiastic Engineer- Preferably you possess professional experience engineering solution-driven spaces in the material handling space and an engineering degree 

  • Industry Expert- You have strong experience and a deep understanding of the Material Handling industry   

  • Savy Communicator- You know the importance of customizing your message and approach based on audience and are comfortable engaging with all levels through your customers organization   

  • Curious Learner- You question how and why things are done with a focus on continued innovation  

  • Creative Problem Solver- You love to white-board an issue and identify the best possible solution moving forward   

  • Flexible Team Player- You understand situations and priorities shift and do so to better serve your customers, colleagues and Configura
