Job description

The Marketing function at Configura is a global team of creatives, designers, marketers, writers and strategic thinkers who are passionate about increasing awareness of Configura and our products. The Head of Marketing Operations is a newly created position that will provide structure, oversight and accountability to ensure marketing activities are executed efficiently and align with Configura’s strategy and direction. This position offers the opportunity to take a highly skilled team of marketing professionals to the next level of success and execution while having a direct impact on company goals and objectives.

To be successful as the Head of Marketing Operations, you will be motivated by the opportunity to be the operational anchor of the function and ensure projects, campaigns and events are delivered on time, on time and in alignment with Configura strategy.  

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 

  • Lead operational planning for all marketing initiatives, including campaigns, product launches, and events.    

  • Build and maintain clear project management systems to track progress, capacity, and deadlines across teams.    

  • Partner closely with the Event Coordinator to align on logistics, budgets, and timeline, ensuring event details are managed without compromising creative ownership.    

  • Oversee marketing budgets, financial tracking, and vendor management in partnership with the Finance team.   

  • Supervise and support the Marketing Generalist and Event Coordinator, fostering growth, clarity, and collaboration.    

  • Align team activities with strategic priorities across the Marketing function.    

  • Establish repeatable processes for planning, approvals, and reporting that improve efficiency and transparency.    

  • Prepare dashboards and documentation to provide leadership visibility into marketing activities.    

  • Lead weekly planning sessions and retrospectives to keep work aligned with priorities.   

  • Foster a culture of accountability, structure, and proactive communication across the team.   

Job requirements

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • Experienced Project Professional - You have professional experience and have thrived in marketing operations, project management or operational leadership within a creative or technology-driven environment.  

  • Skilled in Project Management Tools- You possess a strong understanding and experience with tools such as Jira, Asana or similar platforms.  

  • Comfortable with the Uncomfortable- You have experience managing budgets, contracts and vendor relationships.  

  • Understand Design- You’re experienced with design and creative workflows and understand the process required to bring ideas to life.  

  • Expert Communicator - You know the importance of customizing your message and approach based on audience and are comfortable engaging with a variety of audiences.  

  • Curious Learner - You question how and why things are done with a focus on continued innovation. 

  • Flexible Team Player - You understand situations and priorities shift and do so to better serve your customers, colleagues and Configura.
